Post Hols Photo Heap

…started a few things on holiday…

…a pile of these…(actually one of series of piles)….

…and couple of those…

…got a bit obsessed with “faces” on my palette….

…(they’re looking at me, I swear)….

…Dee came up mid-week and made a poster for her upcoming gig….

…(the one on the left is the one that will be used)…

…(see you there)…

…saw a goat….

…saw it again at night…

…Dee phoned in the sighting….

…(cell phone coverage exists at the water tank)….

…some of the above images are elongated because I may have had the camera switched to vid’ for a day or so after filming this…

,,,bit of a grey day on Friday….

…so we went on our traditional Central Otago charity shop run….

…did rather well…

…as is explained in this short documentary….

….spent the fine days removing bumblebees from the house…

…(…sign says “bug”…but battery died before second shot and didn’t want the wee fellow to be under glass too long)…

….and savoured the fine evenings enjoying the fragrance of the apple blossom…(or is it plum?)….

…all in all a bloody good holiday….

…(did I mention my Pitcairn Island carved flying fish?)…

  1. stupid fish – stupid AWESOME!!!

  2. Ate some hand carved ham today. How does that rate?

  3. Loving the bargains, especially the HMV award. That carved airplane looks pretty too! Also I’m pretty certain the paint by numbers is of Westminster Abbey, it’ll look good with an Octopussy.

Wonderful photos all around! Looks like a beautiful place and that goat is precious. He really wanted to know what you were up to!
Great art, great friends, great nature, and great thrift store finds. Your post makes me smile. So glad you had an awesome vacation.

    • …cheers Pamo…goat (she)…is pissy because her “Dad” is sitting at the table with us having a beer or two and a yarn….goats are an introduced pest species in NZ, but Slim and her sister Chelsea were hand reared by “Dad” after there Mom was shot by a pest control guy…. they’re nice enough to look at but are very inquisitive and fairly aggressive….and have pointy bits…best keep outside on the picnic bench!….

Well now it makes sense why Slim was hanging about! I imagine a goat inside is a bit of a disaster. 😉

  6. Just listend again to „Forty Paces“, real loud, the only bad thing about it, it´s too short!!! Wish U and Deirdre a marry everything and a happy allways, and me, that U post more again in the future.
