Saturday Night Lockdown Flyby

…this is piece is taking forever…

…big burning (pyrography) session over the next couple of days….

…then a bit of line work and it’s done!….

…can’t wait to get on to a scree of unfinished smaller odds and sods that are piling up around the place…

….maybe chuck some more paint on those octopuses….

…yeeeess….

….paint the octopuses….

Use Your Lockdown Wisely

….or not, depending on how much kids craft clay you have….

….this stuff cost $2 at the dump shop and I’m assuming that the previous owner had two packs and ditched the unopened one when they found how difficult it was to work with and how “dead-fish” slimy it was to handle….

..but hey, I had an extra day off presented to me at short notice and couldn’t think of anything better to do with said day, so I persevered….

…(the skeleton is from an earlier “sculpting” session…I suck at 3D….but give it a bash every once in awhile to see if I’ve acquired the skill whilst not practicing….er….that’s a nope on the skill acquisition by osmosis thing…)

…the small white ball at the front is the “change” from the 6 pack…

…the skeleton will be included in the final piece…

..(oh yes, there is a final piece)…

…back to a half day of work tomorrow at 1pm….

…(wish I had more clay for tomorrow morning)…

I’ve run out of ways to photograph records in record crates

…so you’ll just have to imagine what the next ten crates of fresh stuff are going to look like till 10 o’clock tomorrow morning, when they’ll be available for you to paw at with your sticky mitts, at Restore, 7 Gordon Street, Dunedin Central….

…and, yes, there will be another 10 crates next week….

…the week after that is probably the last lot…

…will keep you posted…

…(if you’re having trouble imagining what those 10 crates might look like, scroll down)….

…(is it just me, or is working 13 days in the last 14 starting to make me a little tetchy?)….
