…so…I’ve somewhat returned to my roots…working at night and scrawling in a sketch book on breaks…

…and…well…I guess it was inevitable that I started to doodle sequentially like I did nearly 40 years ago…

….admittedly there wouldn’t have been a plotted script to work from and lite roughs to ink over 40 years ago, but y’know, it’s a similar vibe….kinda….

…(…holy shit!…this anecdote is nearly 40 years old…)…

…(…holy shit!…I just doom scrolled back thru the blog and discovered I haven’t posted a cartoon for just over 5 years….)…

…(….holy shit!…my entire creative output for 5 years has involved either octopuses, skulls or flies….)….

…there is another piece all laid out in there, but I’ll be working on big things for the foreseeable future so I’m not sure when I’ll get to it…

…likewise sketchbook is involved with something a little larger and for someone else’s publication so that source of posting might dry up for awhile…

…stay tuned though ‘cos I’m easily side tracked and may be back here sooner than I’m anticipating!….

…so this seemed like a “natural” progression from everything I’ve been doodling leading up to this point …

…and the red and blue?….

…the green and black seem to run out faster in these four colour pens and I’m gonna try and even them out ‘cos I hate it when you run out on two colours and there’s ink to be used…
