…weeks holiday in K’….coupla blindingly good frosty mornings…with highlighted cobwebs and mist rising form the river as the sun comes over the hills….mmmmm…chilly.
…still very autumnal in the middle of winter….
…still no real frost 1 day before the shortest day…
…nice, but we’re all stuffed aren’t we?…..

…autumnal colours are aglow in the valley…. 
…but leaves aren’t the only thing falling…. …I was staring out the window admiring a deluge of swirling orange, yellow & brown leaves when I noticed traffic backing up outside the shop…. 
…one of two “beautification” trees in the ‘hood came down in the same big equinoctial gust that the leaves were enjoying… …I missed getting a shot of it sprawled across the road because a customer (customers!…with their needs & wants…always getting in the way of “art”!) came in as I was rushing out with my camera… 
…it would seem that planting trees in confined, concrete edged, tar-seal surrounded flower beds is not great for their root development…

…all getting a little chillier down here in the south pacific..
…still getting lovely clear days, but the nights are drawing in…
…and despite the fact that this particular display of seasonally appropriate colour is how this tree looks all year round…
…it is perfect for those autumnal posts…
..at any time of the year.
