….yes, that’s hand stamped….
…and it’s backwards….

…both pieces ruled out in little squares and each letter stamped once left to right then once right to left….
….rinse and repeat….
….2052 characters and spaces per piece….
…took for ages….
…oh, and the paired pieces lean away from their “mirrored” counterparts for two reasons…
…one :- in my mind it gives the impression that the pattern continues beyond the given edge (discovered because the patterns looked to boxy in paintbook)…
…two :- I felt that the larger pen pieces were heading in the opposite direction from what I really really wanted to do….the larger painted pieces!…
….all hung and photographed in procession on the only wall in the house where I wouldn’t have to remove a million pieces of wall baggage to accomodate them (did have to shift the recycled ply hoard…probably shouldn’t have that in my boudoir, but, you know, hoarding!)…or stand on the end of the bed (unmade)…
…now all I have to do is get them out of the house…

Stuff I Finished Last Year
…alternatively titled “Stuff I Spent All Of Last Year Making”….
…”but was too sick to finish, frame and photograph till now”
…the frames are 865mm x 620mm…
…they (all 10 of them) are in “matched” pairs…
…some of the photos aren’t great because – long-covid-brain….
…but hopefully they’ll give you the idea….
…now to build up enough steam to maybe organise an exhibition…
…(…er…with long-covid-brain….who am I kidding?!!?…might take me a long while….)…

….the packaging said “64 sheets”…
…bastards were counting the end pages!…
…completely screwed my numbering system…
…couldn’t bring myself to use the covers…
…so smacked them with a collage of all the post it notes to self that go with the finished pieces I’ve worked on….

Last Weeks Mystery Object Explained
…it’s one of these….
….came with this bright idea for containing my paints aaaages ago….and have been using a cardboard mock-up of what I had in mind since then….
….finally got it made when a looming project required an up tick in how many colours I need at my finger tips….
…the paint brush hole was a late add in, necessitated by the fact that I’d no longer have space for a paint brush pot on the edge of my work space after adding the new improved paint box….
…(yes I’m still stalling for time on the big secret project)….
…(and may continue to do so for an unspecified length of “awhile”)…

…nearly there…just gotta build the frames….so maybe the big reveal will be in a couple of weeks….

…so busy making stuff I forgot my words…
…and the best I can do for a “triumpant” return is this repurposed touristy trinket from the Maldives….
…(….he didn’t even have the forethought to synchronise it with the actual doomsday clock…pfft…lazy!….)….
…(…and in his somewhat lack-lustre defence he will point out that he did go to the trouble of turning the fish upside down…that took ages…)…
