I’ve run out of ways to photograph records in record crates

…so you’ll just have to imagine what the next ten crates of fresh stuff are going to look like till 10 o’clock tomorrow morning, when they’ll be available for you to paw at with your sticky mitts, at Restore, 7 Gordon Street, Dunedin Central….

…and, yes, there will be another 10 crates next week….

…the week after that is probably the last lot…

…will keep you posted…

…(if you’re having trouble imagining what those 10 crates might look like, scroll down)….

…(is it just me, or is working 13 days in the last 14 starting to make me a little tetchy?)….

And Then There Was Three

…or….

…how to empty the pockets and wallets of record collectors in Dunedin for a third week running…

…Step 1 :- condense records left over from last week…(place excess, if any, in crates under tables)…

…Step 2 :- fill gaps in between older crates with 10 freshly prepared crates…(mmm…fresh crates)…

…Step 3 :- let the record collectors know that they need to be up bright and early and at the doors of Restore, 7 Gordon Street, Dunedin Central at 10a.m. or they might be able afford groceries this week…

…Step 4 :- reassure the record collectors that there only are 3 (maybe 4)…(maybe 5) more weeks of 10 crate drops to endure…

…Step 5 :- avoid record collectors immediate families and employers for all of time.

Set The Accumulation Free Day

…had a more sedate start than I was expecting….

…polite browsing on a Sunday morning seemed to be the order of the day…

…this guy was first thru the (back) door a couple of minutes early and was rewarded for his precociousness….

…this week we’ll tighten “security”…

….another early visitor with a large pile of goodies….

…look at that satisfied grin….

…and I that’s about it for the photos…

…I didn’t take any of the car “low-riding” with 20 crates on board…

…or get any vid’ of folk fossicking…

….maybe I’ll be more organised this Sunday the 11th of July when we drop the next 10 to 15 crates….

…hopefully it will be another goodie for Restore, 7 Gordon St. Dunedin Central…

…(heard we broke their daily turn over record on “opening day” and can’t wait to hear how they did during the week)…

…see you Sunday…

…bring your big wallet.

…(if you just got here, scroll down for photos, vid’ footage and an explanation of the accumulation).

…(did I mention the 10 to 15 fresh crates?).

No Post On Sunday But I Have An Excuse

…first time I’ve missed posting since I started this blog….IMG_0713

…but this collection took me way longer to price out than I was expecting (2hrs longer!)…

IMG_0714…6 plastic cubes chock full of amazing stuff…three Dole banana boxes of ok stuff…and three more banana boxes that went straight to Restore (Hi Sarah!)…(Restore is our local Habitats For Humanity charity shop, support it please)…

…many thanks to my good friend Dee who had to rearrange her band practice (that’s kinda like re-herding cats after they’ve stampeded) because I wasn’t watching the time and don’t have a cellular device…

….I broke the “no-shop-on-your-day-off” rule as well, just to try and clear the floor…

…and I’m still processing it on Tuesday…

…nearly 1000 lps and associated  7″s…blues, country, folk…early NZ stuff….gems!!!

…so much good stuff I could poop

…but don’t have time!

(teaser alert)

…never seen this one before…

…(radio play comedy thing I think)…IMG_0729 IMG_0731

…must be old, because I’m pretty sure you can’t eat Kiwis anymore…(well, not in a restaurant anyway)….

…will start cleaning & pricing in a couple of weeks….

…once I’ve regained my blogging equilibrium.
