…and I wanted my copy of the Lp (number 13) to be a little more different than the rest with it’s personalised burnt CD of the early mixes….

I Think I Was At Sammy’s

…to see my good friend Dee’s musical collective, Tiny Pieces Of Eight, perform…

…and perform they did…from free noise to country to funk to wall-of-sound-folk-a-delica…

…they sound awesome, go see ’em…

…then I went thru this door here…

 

…and found way too much beer…

…of course Mr H. was the only thing in focus after awhile…

…sometimes, no matter how messed up you get, you push the button and it works…

…and sometimes…

The Emperors New Hat

…Pete went to a charity tea-cosy auction the other day & came away with this stylee new “hat”…

…it’s a beehive!….

…and has a bee on the top…

 

…now you can identify Pete at a distance…

..which will give you ample time to come up with a witty complement for his new chapeau.

 

…(I already used the one where you point out that it’s interesting to see what’s under the Beehive – New Zealand’s parliament building).

This Is Why You Should Look At Everything

…when you are going thru cheapies bins and charity/good-will shop vinyl accumulations…

…NZ has a plethora of these generic covers (from the EMI factory I think)…they mainly contain church choir/organ recitalist or school group/amateur dramatic society musical productions…

…but every once in awhile, if you are concentrating on what is in your hands…

…and at this point I’ll recommend you click on the next 2 images and enlarge the text so you can read them clearly and in their entirety…

…(it helps to read them with a 50’s radio announcer explains-how-it-is type voice in your head)…

 

…wow…hope the folk that composed those “wise” words aren’t still in charge of our less able to cope ….

..the playing (acoustic guitar) is competent and the low points of the singing are more memorable than the passing-fair bits….

…sorta Daniel Johnstone meets the Shags…and heading steadily down hill from there…

…and we (that means you guys as well) are unlikely to ever see another copy…

…mmm ….rare grooves.

Feastock 2014 Ate My Homework

…after selling all the tickets of Feastock 2014…

 

…I attended…

 

…Seedy had chewed his nails so far down that he had to switch to pineapple lumps…

 

..Crispy appeared to be filming blind…

 

…and Callum was behind the stacks practicing his “thank-yous” announcement…

 

…well practiced he was, thanking Too Tone 3 times in the course of his speech….(did I make too much fuss about being left out last year?)….

…to shorten the toilet queues, security were directing the lads to this oasis of alternative utrination…

 

 

…mmmm….sulubrious….

…you guys might want to not encourage that next year…the puddle was getting hard to negotiate (with) by the end of the event…

 

 

 

…and don’t tell any one how shitfaced, Dee and AJ were….

 

 

…as per-ususal my Feastock ends in a hazy red blur for another year.

…the authorities have all the photographic evidence, they know who you are.
