Reason To Celebrate

…or “Octopied 37” if you’d prefer…

…today is the 9th anniversary of my starting to contribute to the WordPress blogiverse…

…so rather than another two pages of 4/8 colour pen scrawl from last year…

…here’s the latest piece I’ve finished….

….this has been sitting, incomplete for over a year!…

…I think my return to nightshift has given me the motivation to get back to making lots of stuff…

…brace yourselves….

At The Behest Of Paul Vincent Lawford

…I break my “what?-is-lockdown-over-and-I-was-so-busy-painting-that-I-didn’t-notice” silence and post….

…the last “octopied” piece I completed before disappearing down the rabbit hole that is my current obsession…

…I’m on the final stretch now…

…one more piece to complete…

…cosmetic tidying up to do…

…the overly complex framing to make

…and then I’ll have some “spare” time….

…maybe I’ll do a post or two…

…no rash promises….

: P

p.s…..thank you Paul for reminding me of my obligations to my wordpress community…without you this would be a blank page!….

Level 3.3

….old timey paint by numbers…check….

….octopus….check….

….identifying signature…check….

…my work here is (was) done (last year)…..

…check…. (check)….

…(cheque please)…..

Lockdown 31

….before we get into this I must apologise to Chris for my blatant desecration of his wonderful artwork that graces the cover of the Tiny Pieces of 8 Lp, “She Shanties For Frank”…

…hopefully you can forgive me bro’….

…but….

…I couldn’t resist all that empty space….

…and we had a few extra copies of the screen printed cover floating about….

…and I wanted my copy of the Lp (number 13) to be a little more different than the rest with it’s personalised burnt CD of the early mixes….

…and….um….

….and as my cousin Phil is always fond of saying….

…”you know what would look good on that?….a skull and crossbones, that’s what”….

…there…..admission done…

…now to go find some more empty space….

Also On A Green Background

…from a small group of amateur oils I found in a charity shop…

…(might be paint by numbers but I’ve never seen them in this size, 485mm x 230mm…er… 19″ x 9 1/16″… not signed but clouds have “shading”)…..
