….I was approached to contribute to a contemporary comic…

…fuck…it’s been an awfully long time since I’ve drawn sequentially and wasn’t quite sure I still had that skill set…

…dug out an old idea from 5 years ago and gave it a test drive…

…then they started talking about checking drafts and I got a confidence wobble and backed away quite quickly…

…seems things have got a lot more regimented since I was publishing…

…but hey, I’ve this plotted in case someone is less edity and I get over my own lack of confidence!….

Lockdown 10

…having renounced the world as viewed from my toilet window (see last post)…

…I’ve decided to focus inwards and have me some IDEAS…..

…IDEAS so big they had to be on an A3 sheet rather than in the sketch book….

….(….might have to clear up a few outstanding IDEAS before I execute these new IDEAS …but you gotta jot ’em when you got ’em….)….

After A Brief Break

…at the secret brief break location……I now find myself with 30 plus weeks of cartoons to draw….

…finally got the brain space to organise and plot a great big chunk from the chaos of my notebook &  journal from 8 years ago…either written whilst “working” in a sheet metal factory or at my cousin Phil & family’s kitchen table….been meaning to do something about it since I got back….not so many ideas going into the sketch  book of late, so I’m glad I “prepared” this earlier….

…onwards!

Here We Go Again

….just caught up on stuff to draw from my plotting book….

…the usual prevaricating surrounding sorting out sketch book ideas into some semblance of order ensues…

…oh yeah…also celebrated 3 years on wordpress last week…

I Did It

…finally extracted enough story line out of the note book to get me back…

 

…back…

…after 7 pages of hard labour in the “plotting-book”…

…(10 or so weeks before I have to do that, my least favourite part of the creative process, again…..YAY!)….

…back to the Planet of the Chicken-things…

When The Good Friend Dee Was On Tour
