Last Sunday

..went for a “picnic” at the scenic container wharf at Port Chalmers, NZ….

..fed chips to the gulls…..

…what could this be?….

…hmmm….

…ah…

…Dee’s band, Tiny Pieces Of 8, has a track on this….

…flicking thru it at the moment and there are some awesome tracks…

…check it out…

…(I may have added the googly eyes to the sticker)…

No Post Yesterday But I Have An Excuse

…my good friend Dee was house sitting for friends in the hills overlooking the Otago Peninsula…

…I went up for dinner on Sunday evening…

…the weather took a turn for the f**king terrible…

….and we got snowed in Sunday Night…

…then frozen over on Monday night…IMG_1188

…finally freed ourselves on Tuesday afternoon…

…and for people who think I was making it up so I could play in the snow….

…here’s some pictures…IMG_1162 IMG_1164 IMG_1168 IMG_1175 IMG_1176 IMG_1177 IMG_1179 IMG_1180 IMG_1181 IMG_1184 IMG_1186

…japanese station wagon without chains in slushy refrozen snow equals no traction + swearing to the power of 10….

…many thanks to Kirsten, Scott & Alice for the comfy bed , food, rural animal-feeding distractions and towage past the insurmountable drive-way hump…

…Thank you Seedy & Callum from Left or Right for emergency signage co-ordination….

…fuck you, anonymous detractor (I’m picking Simon C, but he’ll deny it!)…

…normal transmission starts now.

Reconfiguring The Back Passage

….finally found someone to make and attach the shelving units out the back…

…my regular builder guy stood me up at the beginning of Spring …

…Spring is when EVERYONE finds large quantities of vinyl that has been hidden from view  since the 80s in rarely accessed corners…

…corners that are being turned out because it’s Spring

…so I’ve been living in chaos under a growing pile of new stock for nearly 3 months…

…everything you want is always in the box at the bottom of the pile…

…now the clean up begins…

…and we should be all ship shape, streamlined & sorted in a couple of weeks…

…and should be back to living around, next to & under badly balanced stacks of highly disorganised boxes in about 6 months time…

…let the rumours of “all-the-good-stuff-is-out-the-back” begin…

…yay.

(the sign on the cistern is my original signage from Port Chalmers)
