Fist Full O Sevens

…Too Tone playing one-deck on the Poweray at Dee’s place….

…tunes awesome…sound quality befitting the age and purpose of a 60’s mono portable disc spinning device!….

…first fresh plates in a long time….original late sixties early seventies 45s in near new condition (cheers John)….mmmm…need me some more of these….

What Is A Boy To Do

…..that’s it….less than a crate of stock left…three items still to be collected….the large radio station record unit (that’s still in the pictures) has gone to it’s new forever home….

IMG_0421IMG_0423IMG_0422

…the record shop is finally closed….(apart for some tax stuff)…

…now I can have my hallway back….

…and my free time?….

…I’ll be dealing with these….IMG_0449IMG_0450IMG_0451

…75 or so “donor” paintings, just waiting to be “Otcopied”, that have amassed whilst I’ve been busy….

…(has anyone seen my paint brushes?)….

…(and why does there seem to be rather of a lot of wooden items accumulating ’round the house?…are they possibly associated with “Toneware”)….

….(hmmm, I’m going to be busy, aren’t I?).

78rpm

…78rpm…IMG_1804…78rpm…IMG_1805

….78rpm.

…(mid winter task of clearing all the accumulated non-selling formats out the back room….mmmm…78rpm).

The Southern Most Second Hand Record Shop

…a road trip to Invercargill would be incomplete without a visit to Rock ‘n’ Rolla records at 86 Spey Street….IMG_6623

…a small but interesting selection of second hand lps….as well as 7″, Cds & DVDs….

…proprietor, Jay, is a top bloke….IMG_6624

…gotta love a record shop that has it’s sound system running off a car battery…

…with a hand cranked back up in the window….

…Jay laughs at your dependence on electrickery…..

….visit there TODAY…er…

Tip Shop Sound System

…having acquired a 42″ flat screen T.V. and dispensed with the old 27″behemoth class not-flat screen (with bloody great matching cabinet), the time had finally arrived to dismantle and dispose of the speaker stack…

…while this accumulation of worthless old speakers did look great precariously balanced, one atop the other, in the corner…they served no practical purpose, being either blown or too cheap to produce listenable sound. More importantly they  covered part of the wall that would now accommodate said 42″ moving picture device…

…so off to the tip shop they were carted…a full station (estate) wagon full…including one more pair from the shop plus a couple of old partial turntables some one “thoughtfully” left on the shops doorstep…

…couldn’t resist one more “installation” with them…IMG_1203IMG_1202

…sound clash anyone?
