… a bit busy, for my tastes, so not destined to get the ink/brush/colouring-in pencil treatment…

… forever languishing in the sketchbook…

…or appearing here as filler between finished “product” posts.

…oh yes, drawing sharks is going to come in handy…

…as handy as being able to draw coelacanths…

…the practical applications are endless…

…especially considering my up coming series…

…(oh yeah….200 posts…woohoo!)

Now That I Can Draw Sharks..

…what are the practical applications?……hmmm …maybe in a more “formal” setting

…hmmm…what about in space….

…hmmm … this may require more thought…

…back to the drawing board.

…as we in the Southern hemisphere pass from Summer to Autumn I present this handy guide to our Northern hemisphere cousins, who may be tempted to brave the briny fluid with the promise of  warmer weather to come in their neck of the woods…

Once I Had Sorted The Nose Out

…on the shark-for-band-poster thing… (see yesterdays post)

…I continued to obsessively draw all manner of finned/fanged beasties…

 

…of course if you put the bottom line at the top it would kinda look like one of those fish species I.D. charts you see in fish shops….

 

 

 

…then you could colour-photocopy and laminate it….

…then you could go round to Fea St. at some ungodly hour in the morning (Hi Steve!) and staple it to the fence.

(can’t believe you guys haven’t noticed it yet…).

Another Poster Project Shelved

…so Steve said to me “wow, a poster with a shark like the one at Feastock would be kinda cool”….

…so I explained how painstakingly hands-on my stuff is…and how much a commercial artist would get an hour …and how long it would take me to do an A3 poster in black & white…

…he said he’d discuss it with his band mates……meanwhile the idea had started to form…

…just couldn’t quite recall how to draw sharks…

 

 

…(only when I’m tearing my hair out do I ever even think to look at Google images)…

 

..the “memo” at the bottom of the page is sung, with gusto, to the tune of “remember you’re a Womble”…

..a firm favourite round the house for a week or so.
