It’s Happening Again

…remember that record accumulation I was “administering” for Re-Store?….

…after an 18 month break…

…(nightshift/covid/life…y’know…)…..

…it’s time to get back to it….

….I’m still finding amazing stuff I’ve never seen before…

…possibly the best NZ album cover I’ve ever encountered…

…and….

…definitely the best cover I’ve seen up to this point in my life…

…pumpkins AND an octopus…

…what’s not to like?….

…(seriously…there is so much more to come from this collection…track down Dunedin Re-Stores face book page for drop dates…should be weekly at this stage…and keep an eye out for the “top shelf” crate coming to a Dunedin Re-Store counter near you!)…

Set The Accumulation Free Day

…had a more sedate start than I was expecting….

…polite browsing on a Sunday morning seemed to be the order of the day…

…this guy was first thru the (back) door a couple of minutes early and was rewarded for his precociousness….

…this week we’ll tighten “security”…

….another early visitor with a large pile of goodies….

…look at that satisfied grin….

…and I that’s about it for the photos…

…I didn’t take any of the car “low-riding” with 20 crates on board…

…or get any vid’ of folk fossicking…

….maybe I’ll be more organised this Sunday the 11th of July when we drop the next 10 to 15 crates….

…hopefully it will be another goodie for Restore, 7 Gordon St. Dunedin Central…

…(heard we broke their daily turn over record on “opening day” and can’t wait to hear how they did during the week)…

Ladies And Gentlemen Start Your Engines

…. 20 crates (count ’em) of the record accumulation I’m currently processing will drop on the 4th of July, 2021, at Restore, 7 Gordon Street, Dunedin Central…

…here’s a random crate…

…ah, crap….let me try that again….

….the stack of 70 crates featured in last week’s post now sits at 72 with more to come from inside the house….

…we’ll be adding more crates to Restore’s stock every week for some time to come…

…something in there for almost everyone…

…with…so…much…more…to…come….

An Exception To The Back Log

…at least I think it’s templateĀ “D” … templateĀ “C”, currently in use in the sketchbook, is the one back there on the post-it notes…yep, must be template “D”)….

…a quick study on A3 paper,  in water colour before I move to board and paint…

…(major props to wordpress artist Nick who mentioned using water colour on his latest stuff…that triggered ā€œhey, I need to see if this idea works and know it wonā€™t fit in paintbook and I donā€™t want to take weeks doing it at A3 in paint that takes 40 minutes to dry between applications so why not see if you can make a new medium workā€….result!…you can find Nick atĀ
