Ever wondered what goes on when the proprietor of secondhand record shop at the butt end of the world chucks in the towel and goes back to having a life??
… showing the daily progression of these pieces was supposed to enable me to quietly produce loads more stuff for you all to see whilst feeling no deadline pressure….
…as a stalling tactic is works admirably…..
…except that I didn’t realise that I would run low on descriptive drivel to bookend them….
…I now spend a great deal of my new found deadline-free-quiet-time trying to generate said descriptive drivel bookends….
…(it’s 1040mm x 810mm including the bit I stained brown to look like a frame….it’s acrylic on ply…it hurts your eyes if you look at it too close for too long!)….
….started way back in 2020, this had a 2021 signature burnt onto it ( I use a pyrography tool to mark certain lines to aid re-establishing them after the bulk of the colour work has filled them in) with me thinking I’d get back on it after the sidetrack of that time….
…it was part of the “leave-night-shift” plan scuppered by long covid and further sidetracked by painting simpler things….
…filled in the signature and re-signed it last week after re blacking the burn lines…
…before….
…after…
…some detail….
…now for the rest of those half finished projects….
…there are a few and my “doing” capacity is still limited…
